Remain calm and easygoing and logical. Explain your point of view gently. Allow the other person to actually consider it. Don't cling to your opinion, Moonchild. Send it out into the atmosphere as a free agent. Since your perspective is practical and, well, correct, you will win over the one you want to convince.
