you were meant to be

relationship as an obligation

It has been brought to my attention that I tend to look at a relationship as an obligation and at times a burden, instead of something that positively compliments my life.  This comes as a shock and yet I totally see it.  I let the pressure of trying to impress another person weigh on me.  What I should realize is that these people love me for who I am and do not expect constant entertainment from me.  I need to learn to live my life and fit these wonderful people in it, rather than change my life to impress them.   I should want to be with the person all the time, even when I have to do mundane tasks, and not not feel guilty about that.  They just want to spend time with me and not because of what we are doing.
